| A trip to Plymouth Half of Dilligaf went to meet up and have a fish with a friend down in Plymouth last night. Was after a thornie for some points, but on arrival the pier we wanted to fish was full of kids all in hi-viz jackets. After a quick yap we found out it was a local thing in getting the kids into fishing-NICE. We summed up or options and decided we would have a mini species bash until there was room further down the pier. What a result this turned out to be, I ended up fishing this way for most of the night. Started off with a small Pollack. ![]() Then one of these (Common Blenny) ![]() ![]() Long Spinned Sea Scorpion ![]() ![]() Short Spinned Sea Scorpion ![]() ![]() Shore Rockling ![]() Poor Cod ![]() Tompot Blenny ![]() ![]() And loads of these which I'm pretty sure is a Sand Smelt. ![]() ![]() I think I am pretty spot on with the species above, but if I am wrong would you let me know. Not really done the small stuff before. All in all a good night with 8 different species and most of all a good bit of banter with a good friend. Cheers, Chop __________________ You should forgive your enemies, but only after you’ve taken the shot. |

| Re: A trip to Plymouth Brilliant result Chopper, plenty team points there. Nice close up pics too, your 3 beard i would say is a shore rockling. Here's the 3 beard i had the other day even the small ones have the spots and a different colouration to a shore rockling. ![]() __________________ Steve 2012 Species:Bass,Huss,SS Sea Scorpion,3B/Shore Rockling,Launce,Mackerel,Sand Goby,Sand Smelt,Pollack, Coalie,Conger |
