| Poole harbour 10/01/12 Had a pass last night to go local with rob , undecided he gave me a call and suggested fishing poole harbour after reading nuttys report (cheers nutty)  , as your aware my flounder success hasnt been brilliant in the last 4 years only bagging 2 lol , so you can imagine my thoughts , i reluctantly gave the nod so 6.30 saw me , rob and 100 worm off down the m27 , not a bad journey and arrived around 7.15 to headlamps all along , couldnt fish where we wanted so set up around 200 yrds short of our chosen googled mark , the fella to my right already had 2 decent mudmunchers in the bucket , i set up to his left and rob to the left of me , the flood started to produce a lot of rattles and a few hits , untill over high it just went dead , a few coffees and a chat, the neccessary flounder walk all produced nothing , then the ebb started and rob was in with his first ............ and in again ..........  and again ..........  this one a pb for rob at 2lb 2 0zs  then to make matters worse rob went to net one for the fella to my right , this one came in at 2lb 14 ozs cracker ! so to my left 3 flounder and to my right 3 flounder and me in the middle .....................blanking  i knew this was a bad idea  then out the corner of my eye i spied a rattle , get in there ! took it slow lifted in and fish on , you can imagine my excitement when i pulled in a bloody schoolie  , undetered i cracked on then it happened ............ and just to rub salt in the wounds it went 1 lb 15 ozs  1 0z under it being a pb but never the less i was happy , bites were now coming thick and fast they were hitting and spitting cast after cast , me and rob 1 each at the same time ............... it just went mental . rob bagged another and me bagging another 2 , then the pb came for me at bang on 2 lb on the nose ............  phew ! , we were getting hit well into the ebb but had to call it a day around 2 am , scores on the doors rob 4 flounder and 1 bass , me 4 flounder and 2 bass most flounder around the 2 lb mark with many many more missed cracking session and will be back very soon ! .lee . __________________ If Everyday things are getting you down & stressing you out, Think like a Dog, If it cant be Eaten or Humped, Piss on it and walk away..     |
