Re: Weekend Worm Massacre!

Seems to be plenty of whiting about, not much else at the current time though.
Is a nice quiet spot up that end of the beach, big distance between the prom and the surf.
Although the other end often has people fishing with rods etc set up on the prom.
And also is handy when night fishing for the ambient light from the street lamps.

Just realised as well, Pompey playing at home tomorrow.
It may sound an odd suggestion, but my advice if arriving any time from 1pm onwards really, is to head in to Pompey aiming more towards the other end of the seafront (Hovercraft or D Day Museum) and then driving down to Eastney.

Eastern Road, Milton Road.... may look so much easier, but on closer inspection it takes you right by Fratton Park.
Seeing as there are few main routes into Pompey, the traffic is a nightmare on match days.

On the upside, weather looking reasonable.
Mainly easterly wind, but at least it's only light.

Re: Weekend Worm Massacre!

Am sure there is plenty of room.
Also I'm running late (as per usual), so you could even beat me there!

Just remembered I lazy packed last time, so had to sort out traces etc, and about to leave to go and get fresh bait.
I wanted to be packing up to leave about now...
But serious sleep deprivation seems to have caught up with me a bit.
Mostly down to fishing, so it comes down to karma I suppose.

If you see someone with a big blue Mustad holdall slung over his back, plodding down the seafront/beach towards you, give me a wave!

Conditions look very nice from my window, starting to cloud over a little and no noticable wind.
Will of course be different on the shore, but not normally too much.
