| River itchen 09/01/12 Well second session of the year and i thought i would torture myself with the flounder again  , i was hoping to be fishing by 9 am to catch the flood , but a visit from jack daniels last night meant me not waking up untill a txt from rob at 9.45  , so a rush to get ready and out the door , arrived at the venue at 10.30 .............  carp rods out and bugger i forgot the egg beaters to accompany them , so out came the pro mags , i know i missed the best of the tide and started fishing this mark when people usually start leaving  , oh well i was not optomistic anyway as the last 4 years have only seen me bag 1 flounder a fish i just cant seem to catch anymore  the session was going as all my flounder sessions go motionless rod tips all day , about an hour before i was leaving a little rattle saw me sit on my hands and wait  after 10 minutes i lifted in and started the retreive , a bit of weight on and felt good , weed ? branch ? a few dozen crabs ? then up it came ............... never been so happy to see a mudmuncher  lee. __________________ If Everyday things are getting you down & stressing you out, Think like a Dog, If it cant be Eaten or Humped, Piss on it and walk away..     |
