a lovely day stood by the water

today was first comp of year for the ESAA( well if you dont include cancelled wed one oops)

fishing either the exe or teign , for single best flounder 10-3

decided to head to Maer rocks end first( as can park for free on maer side of road and walk), seaward side now 365 day year ( near new lifeboat station), was all nice and quiet with tide dropping still







headed out to end rocks to fish back into the pool created by river outflow


i did see a small goby in rock pool and tried to tempt it out for points but it want playing
nor were the flounder though

the tide turned and water started coming in from behind so time to move, and be sociable with others nearer the dock end



conditions looked good but all we seemed to be doing was feeding( and catching) the crabs, andy did scratch out a whiting though.

shauna managed a flounder just before time up ( but know bigger were caught just up from the docks other side)



will update on winners when hear as headed home unfortunately fishless but a lovely day, good weather and a good social and thanks to member colin i have more bait than when i started
