| fishing with Eric Managed to get out today at Folkstone (after Brekkie of course) and steamed out to the inshore mark to the west of the harbour and found that the seabed was covered in Doggies if you had a pennal rig on most times you had 2 of the little blighters on, only the odd whiting and a solitary Codling broke the monotary so as the tide slackened we moved out to deeper water. Sean was in first with a Cod of about 7lb (no photo) and about an hour late Neil found the best fish of the day ay 19lb ![]() There were seagulls everwhere taking anything that was put back , they were even chasing the bait as you cast uptide , eventually 1 made the mistake of getting to close to the line and it wasn't happy when we got it to the boat ![]() ![]() As the sun was setting the Pout turned up in force but I had a proper bite on the uptider which was pulling a bit so I thought thats not a pout ![]() ![]() The only other thing of note was a number of Scad as the tide slackened but they wanted the bait well up of the bottom. __________________ Species 2011 = 54 2010 = 44 2008 = 29 2007 = 51 2006 = 44 2007 = 37 2004 = 36 LIFETIME = 70 |

| Re: fishing with Eric Pic's like that so make me want to get out on a boat.... Only ever boat fished once, and that was for Barracuda and Tuna off the Canary Islands. I'm not quite sure whose expression I find the funniest in the Seagull pic. Your amusement or the Seagulls look of "Why me..?" ![]() Also hope you had enough chips to go with those catches. ![]() __________________ -- Bart Rank : Rod Rattling Rookie! Bait Bung'ing Beginner!
