lepe today

i fished lepe today it was foggy and muggy, i walked about 400 yds past the pylon to the groynes, and fished next to what looked like an old pier landing stage, wore my floaty trousers big mistake as i was sweating buckets by the time i got there. I had rag, squid and slipper limpets soaked in crab oil, there was no wind and the sea was flat and clear. Fished with 2 rods and used a clip down wishbone with beads and all things shiny, a clip down up and over, and a one up one down portsmouth rig, all ranges 100 yds + down to 10, i don't think any baits lasted 5- 10 mins as fast as i baited up one rod them
"......." crabs were stripping the other one !! i would have swapped my last malteser for some floaty beads. Fished from 10.00 - 15.00 hrs no bites at all i ran out of bait the first time ever!! i normally take to much, still on the walk back i spotted some likely spots for the summer, i past 3 other guys on the way back to car park and no one had any thing at all, stil if you don't try, you don't know.

Unlucky Poutmaster, what can i say, it normally fishes ok but still a bit early yet.
Crabs are out in force again are they i had better get me pop ups ready for the weekend then.

i fished cowshot about 6 weeks ago i had a ftounder on first cast then pout no crabs

Was that off the main beach mate, i was gonna fish right outside the Fawley power station. There is a warm water outlet here and it is a holding spot for the flatties, some of em a nice size n all. :)
