| First ever catch :D Hey guys just came back from ryde peir after a few hours fist half hour got my first ever fish and was a nice bass which i just had for dinner (hope it was a bass) then as a few hours went nothing, few bites, and then just about to pack up and reel in found i had a fish on the hook lol was gobsmacked lol had a really good time with my best mate he got nout but were deffo going again well worth the £4 permit     Cheers and thanks for all the help guys from my other posts learned a lot in the past few days oh also what do you do when you catch one? heavy blow to the head ?     |

| Re: First ever catch :D yeah i didnt really know what to do i wanted to keep it and take a photo in case i never see one again as i didnt have a camera with me  plus the hook was right inside and couldnt get it out next time if its not dinner it goes back |

| Re: First ever catch :D The only wrasse we have over here is known as the tautog or blackfish, and I've heard good things about them as a food fish.
