Red face Sunday's late report

Well, you probably can guess the success of Sunday's trip by the fact that it's now Wednesday and I'm just getting round to writing it........

7am start, well it would have been if the skipper had remembered to put his clock forward! A quick phone call got him dockside by 20 past and he burnt a little more of the pink stuff than usual and got us drifting a reef 30 miles out by just after 9. Nothing on the drift for anyone over the reef, so we anchored up next to a nearby wreck and it was 2lb lead time for all. Not long before we started pulling up the conger up to 50-60lb - Drew had 3 but I only had 1, but I didn't blank!!! I didn't fish very hard for the conger, it's not my thing. We then went back over the wreck a few times on the drift and then went to another wreck but no fish took the variety of lures offered.

We must have had about 10-15 conger in total, possibly more. We also had 3 very seasick people onboard which made me think of recent threads on the forum

Oh well, the fishing cannot get worse - let's hope it gets better for Sunday!!!

Re: Sunday's late report

Atleast you were catching something, and they were of a good size too.

Well done men

Re: Sunday's late report

Never mind Andy,
as you said "thats fishing", feel sure you'll do well on Sunday.

Kill at least two goats and half a dozen chickens.

Good Luck
