| This Thurs boat fishing on the Royal Charlotte For the first time in my life i am going boat fishing this thursday, an have been looking forward to it for a couple weeks now. Hopefully according to the weather forecast Thursday weather be good, with 11mph winds (lowest of the week) Will be going with my pops, i thaught towards these months oct/nov that it would be cod season, but mick said they have been catching more seabass then anything. I really want to catch a cod (if im lucky) is there anything i should know about, such as best bait? technique? im guessing boat fishing will be easier then catching mackerel off a pier, as with boatfishing you simply lower the bait in the sea, an wait for a bite?     |

I was sea sick 9 times, an it really spoiled my day, i couldnt even enjoy the fish i caught  The day went as planned an i was there early in the morning, where mick the skipper drove us about an hour out into sea, the weather was also on our side with no rain for the whole day, slight winds, but thats about it. As it was my first time, my belly could not handle the tides and it was a nightmare, towards 1pm i was praying to just go home an be all nice an warm sitting down on my sofa with a nice cup of tea. I managed to catch 6 decent sized sea bass and arounnd 15 Mackerels, in which whilst gutting the inside of one of the mackerals another baby fish came out  mg        |

Its like being in a washing machine out in the channel some days, short sharp swell! Well done. All the best.
