stokes bay last night

well i turned up at stokes bay at 4 last night, i was the 1st 1 to get there and i would love to be able to say it was brilient sunshine, but it wasnt, we had about 1 1/2 inches of rain i would say
i set up base camp out towards the end of stokes bay and waited for bill(marto) to turn up, and waited, and waited and then noticed a red beach buddy half a mile down the beach, i had gone to the wrong place
soon meet up with bill and we were shortly joined by john (gully worm) and luke(fishingbonsia)
nothing happened untill it got dark when i got the 1st fish of the day, a little pin whiting) at pritty much the same time john got 2 whiting and a pout and bill got a whiting
to cut a long story short luke got 1 pout (and possibly a whiting), bill got 1 whiting and 1 bass (and a pout as well i think), i got 2 whiting and 3 bass and john got about 4 pout and 4 whiting
it was a nice nights fishing even though i was like a drowned rat when i got home (my floation suit has a leak ) and i look forward to the next time
o yeah, all fish were returned safely alive

i have just hung all of mine up in the garage, its still dripping off from last night, and my jeans were so wet last night i could have rung water out of them
gonna start looking for a new reel now as well, after breaking that 1 last night
i must have been doing something wrong not to get any pout last night

Cool Re: stokes bay last night

Well done guys,

Nice tally of fish for this time of year, although a wet night by the sound of it. Nice to see the schoolies are back in numbers. Just have to wait a few years for them to grow on!

What baits were you all using?

Re: stokes bay last night

Thanks for the company last night boys, despite the weather it was still good.
Its going to take days for my gear to dry out. I had to pour water out of my wellies when I got back, need some new wet weather stuff that is up to the job I think.

Got a new, and first ever brolly, a right bargin too, cheers GW.

See ya all later down my way.
