| Chesil Fished a mid Chesil mark on Thursday. Set up and was fishing by 6, Bites were thick and fast with loads of doggies, pout and poor cod from the off. Things slowed down a bit just after high tide when a chap to my left had a nice Pollock of around 4lbs closely followed by my mate to my right with one a bit smaller but none for me.  The bites slowed right down from around half ten up until midnight when I had two smuts on of each species, more dogs, a few yting and this welcome fellow which came in just over 3.5lbs, job done.  The very next cast resulted in a bass of the same weight much to the annoyance of my mate who by this time had not had a touch in about an hour, although he did lose a conger in the surf which returned a half eaten pout. We fished through until half eight packed up and headed back to the car, chuffed with the nine different species caught and a few for the table.
