whent down to bexsy last night had some craking whighting and some not so cracking ones lol the pout army was out in force as well got there at about 7:30 ish with just a hand full of peps there.The swell was bigger than i thought it would be but fine to fish in only lost one fish to it but still thats fishing set up the first rod with black lug on a flaper rig and befor i had the second one to gether the first rod was ratteling away the colprit a dubble shot of wighting sliped them back rebaited and cast back out this whent on like this till 9:00 when a big flash of lighting whent of just off shore "time to turn tell me thinks" just then it start to rain proper hard so called it a night total score for the night 10 whighting and 6 large pout so not a bad night if it was a bit short made back in time for and

Sounds like a good session. Shame you had to end it early.
I like catching large pouting, They are nice to eat fresh. I hate it when they crap on you hand though!

i know what you mean with the crap on hand i have a knew found love of pout after fishing a local charity match last month and picking up £100 for the biggest pout cant hate them now lol

Sounds like you had a fun trip Colin!!

It`s really wierd but I can`t recall the last Pout I have caught, I think the must be low in numbers along the south east coast? I used to catch them in plague amounts but I can honestly say I recon I have only had about 3 all year long!!

I know what yomiu mean on the number of pout about at the moment I've not had many this year but I think that fish are low in numbersnoot shore about cuttle fish did get one really good hit that whent solid after a few mins which resulted in a snap upr
