great result for Exmouth SAA at Westward Festival

Yesterday (sun 23rd) Exmouth Sea Angling Association hosted this years Westward Trophy

An annual reginal competion between 7 clubs being Exmouth,Beer , Honito,Sidmouth, Weston Outcasts, Westcoast and Watchet and Budliegh

with 8 members on each team with 7 zones and also one boat

Competition is by catch , measure and release

Exmouths team consisted of
Martin ( Taff)
Si
Andy B
Shauna
Brian
Darren
Paul
and Andy D on the boat

5 zones were along exmouth, 2 at budliegh
the competition was due to be 9 am -4pm but had to be cut short at 1pm as weed made it unfishable

most fish caught were bass and flounder

Notable catch was by Darren from from the weston club with a bag of over 2 metre

The boat blanked in the comp

but for The Exmouth Team

Both Darren and Paul won their respective zones and Shauna came 3rd in her zone

Giving Exmouth enough points to win the Westward trophy for 2011 with 22 points
second were weston with 16 points and joint 3rd Honiton and also Westcoast and Watchet with 15

so MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS to the ESSA team Winners 2011
