| Last of the Summer fish and a few early winter ones. Fished POW Dover and had a good day with the brothers, Found a new way of catching Dabs! put a set of mini sabaskis on for the Herring and started catching Dabs on then baited:  There were loads of Pout and Whiting about both close in and at distance struggled to get away from them to start with but once the tide started running I had a small Starry Smut which gave a very good account of itself:   Once the tide was running we started to get Mackeral and Herring on the mini sabaski and Les put a strip of fresh mackeral on the top hook of a Loop rig and had a nice Flattie:  Ended the day with 14 species (some summer/some winter) including Dragonette , Tompot , Shanny , 3 types of Goby and a solitary Corkwing. __________________ Species 2011 = 54 2010 = 44 2008 = 29 2007 = 51 2006 = 44 2007 = 37 2004 = 36 LIFETIME = 70     |
