Hoping to get out fishing on either the night of the 24th, or out in the day of the 25th of this month.
Maybe even both.

Probably off a beach or something somewhere in Portsmouth.
Although I have yet to speak to my mate about a trip, and know he may fancy a trip out somewhere totally new.
But if anyone fancies joining me, drop me a line.
Not wanting to blow my own trumpet, although I almost wish I could!
There's a few of you out there that have mentioned that you are up for a meet.

If my mate does fancy a 100% new venue, I'll talk him in to staying in Pompey unless the venue change means more chance of a meet.

Both trips will be weather dependant of course....
But with crossed fingers, and some long range weather forecasts.....
It seems that the south will get away with some more nice/milder weather around then.

I can do the the 25th day as i have a day off, so count me in i dont know pompy that well but if you let me know were the venue is when you put a stamp on one, i will get directions.

The main variable on location should hopefully be sorted out over this weekend.
Hoping to visit mate later on this evening, currently sat in work canteen typing on phone.
If not should hopefully be meeting him out fishing with his youngest on Sun, which may also be my little girl's first real taste of fishing too.
Even considering a 'pocket' rod see for her B'day in a few weeks, nothing special but enough to dangle off the pier at least.

Ok, sounds great let me know either way i dont mind traveling. Im currently sat at my office desk, bored thinking of my next venture fishing (thursday) lol. im just about to buy some abu 6500 multis brand new for 85 quid each blady bargain as i want to start useing them.
A little pocket rod for your daughter would be brilliant they gotta start somewere lol ive got a little telescopic rod that i was given i have never used it, i will bring it with me when we meet and you can have it for the little one? if you can make use of it please do as it just sits in my shed bored lol.

What have I got myself into here.......
Only gone and hooked up with a pro!
I've probably not spent that much (each!) in total on ALL my kit combined so far!

Thanks to kind donations/perma-loans I've kept costs down, but that keeps it in line with current skills.

Looking more like a day only at the moment, due to a mis calculation my mate probably wouldn't be available to get bait.
I due to finish work after tackle shop shuts, and am not sure how well a lb of Rag would go down in works fridge for the day.

So could have a nice easy meeting spot, tackle shop @ opening time.
Going to make an enquiry about booking bait/Rag just to be on the safe side, never had any problem before but why tempt fate...

Could be up for either of these dates , eastoke is a good bet this time of the year fish the high groyne numbers , chance of a good bass , codling , flounder and some huge pout !

I'm quite limited to range 'solo'.
Gave up driving lessons "for the summer"..... this is turning out to be one long summer....... as it was about 15 years ago.
Never got round to it again...
Still have to run things past my mate, he drives I navigate/route plan (making me the one person who hates SatNav.)

Will try and get some yammer time with him later.
He was in much erm... 'Trouble' with his missus last night.
So couldn't get his nose out long enough for a decent chat.

So, looking like mainly 25th somewhere from Pompey at the mo.
But still keeping all options open.

Latest update.

Tues 25th is looking like a 100% Pompey fish.
Anywhere from Eastney down to or even on South Parade Pier, the side of Clarence Pier, and along by the Round Tower all viable locations.
Some have better facilities than others, but all can be made comfortable enough even with the sort of basic gear I have.
Even more so when I borrow stuff too!

Mate is due in to hospital on 24th for some major dental work, so he will in his words "..be off my f......g tits...." and in no state for the Mon night for sure.
Still working on him for the Tues, but not expecting to much.
He *HAS* to be put under for the dentist, for everyone's saftey, so can take a while to come back to this world.

High Tide is @ 10:30.

Allans Marine (My local Tackle shop) @ 09:00 (opening time!)?
Solent Tackle (Not really know much about ST, only been there once in recent years on a very quick flying visit.)
One thing they both have in common, their websites are I'll be polite and say lacking.
Or somewhere near whichever spot is chosen.
There's enough landmarks and things that it can be fine tuned down to for the day.
Not to mention it's hard to try and look inconspicuous waiting for someone with a load of fishing gear in tow.
By the way, I'm the one with 6ft or so long bright blue bag!

If anyone want's to choose a venue/more details or anything just say.
