mulberry wreck round 2-12/10/11

Hi All,

After my last atemp of missing bites etc.... i decided to give the wreck another go,so on tuesday i finished work at 6 and headed straight down the shore to dig some fresh lug.
Got there at 6.30 to which my wife met me there to help me dig them as she likes getting the biggest one lol i dont mind its nice.So we were there untill 7.30 it was pitch black but we had our head torches so wasnt to bad, we got about 50 between us.
So the next morning loaded with fresh lug, makeral and squid me and my wife headed down to the wreck for about 9 as HT was 12.17. There was hardly any wind it was overcast and mild in temp.Felt great. Loaded one rod with a 3 hook cliped rig with lug and squid cocktails and the other rod with a good old pulley with a makeral head hopeing a bass or two maybe hungary.
After half hour a nice rattle on my flapper rod and produced a nice wrasse of nearly a pound i would say it felt great as i was useing my light bass rod, good sport. This continued for the next few hours wrasse after wrasse after wrasse it was great.Anyway the weather changed wind picked up,rain came along to and the sea got very choppy. The bites just died off, after an hour of nothing the wife made us both a cuppa So i was just chatting to her about what new roads i want when suddenly my pulley rod bent right over and my reel sounded like it was being stabbed lol.
My coffee went flying as i jumped of the chair and then so did i, great, i panicked so much i got caught up on the chair and fell in to the rod pod which sent my rods flying when i eventually got up and picked up the rod there was nothing there just the noise of my wife crying with laughter. So decided to call it a day. But never minds next time i will get it to which i think it was probly a bass? But atleast i didnt blank a very enjoyable day.

Andy
