Scrounged Bait

When I cleared up after the comp yesterday I came across a couple of score of Blow Lug so took the Bass rods to Erith for a couple of hours on the pier (after the grand prix) , somebody had moored a bl**dy great Dredger right on my favourite spot so had to fish the corner.

Lots of little rattles straight away and when I reeled in the bait had been stripped so I am assuming the Mitten Crabs are back from breeding.

Ended up with 8 Whiting in about a hour and half would of fished longer but ran out of bait. If we have a meet there this week I hope to be able to fish the main river flow which should keep the crabs off the bait.
