with the wind changing from a stiff s/w-w to a gusty n/w . would have to hit pagham as would be straight of my back . got there just after 5pm , with high tide just after 9.20pm . sea was flatish but abit of colour . i knew that as the tide came in the colour would most likely drop out . so was hoping the cloud cover we had would stay .

armed with lug , crab and dirty squid . with me not getting on the cod this year , was going to fish 2 loop rigs at long range . with small baits . then as it got darker , use slightly bigger baits . the weather forcast said over cast , with no rain and cloud cover would thin as night went on . so i left my water proofs in the car . but just got a igloo , so wanted to try it out . just aswell as not long after i set up it pissed down for around a hour on and off . any way back to the fishing . 1st cast small bass , then a flounder , then a small bass , then a eel and small thorny . by now it was just starting to get dark . small pouting turned up then a new spieces for me a dragonet

had a few more small pout . then a round 8pm the cloud broke and the fishing , just died . shame was looking good . then just on high water , had a small whiting , followed by 3 doggies . the again went dead , till i packed up at midnight . was enjoyable as 8 spieces , nothing massive but fun .
