| Re: Hayling tomorrow? hi, There are 2 tackle shops close . 1 in Havant (Havant Tackle) 200 yds north off the M27 same turning as Hayling Island, and 1 in the High St. (Paiges tackle) Hayling most people use ragworm normally hope this helps __________________ good luck and tight lines chris lifes to short for animosity. |

| Re: Hayling tomorrow? If you can get your bait from alans marine in portsmouth, paiges in hayling keep their worm in vermiculite and is more expensive for simular sized worm. I would use rag, fresh dug lug (you can dig this enroute in langstone) squid and mackerel. Depending on what part of hayling you are fishing you mite wanna grab some limpet too, anywhere between the outflow pipe and inn on the beach use a big limpet bait as loads of limpet and razor fish wash up on the beach when there is a good surf running. The life boat look out is the deepest part of the beach and is worth a go too. |

| Re: Hayling tomorrow? Thanks for all he info guys, Ended up going to Paiges, like you said a tad expensive!! they recommended going to the funfair, turn left and go right to the end and walk between the houses? sorry a bit vague. wind was very strong so hid down behind the wooden groynes, fished for 8 hrs from tide going out to 4hrs tide coming in.nothing !! except loads of weed, should have expected it with the high winds, still it was a day out. it hasn't put me off, just need to break my duck beach fishing ![]() |

| Re: Hayling tomorrow? Little bit late I know.... But I would happilly second that recommendation for Allan's Marine. Some of the Rag I've got from there I 've almost just hooked by the tail! ![]() Not only for self protection, but also I wouldn't be suprised of if one the buggers came back in clutching a fish in it's jaws! If you ever feel the urge to go fishing from a beach in Pompey (or are having a day in Hayling not to far from the Ferry ideally), let me know. I'm no Pro, but always nice to at least pop along to put a face to the name. 1 Down! (Chris.oldgit) So many to go! ![]() __________________ -- Bart Rank : Rod Rattling Rookie! Bait Bung'ing Beginner! | Re: Hayling tomorrow? Thats where I usually fish, well (in between the 2 walk ways) its better down that end when its calm tho, just for future reference, the outfall pipe is about half way between the fair and eaststoke (where the out door gym thing is that you passed) usually good after some rain, if you go to the fair and turn right at the mini round about then follow that road till you get to a big white building that is the inn on the beach, usually good after or durin a good blow. Shame you didnt have much luck tho matey, better luck next time, its gotta be better thanks being stuck indoors tho! Lol |
