 charmouth ..got one at last last night fished Charmouth with mate Si tide as pretty big 3.9 still so we fished just to the carpark side of landslip for safety..water came up to slip so would have been cut off a while if went over main target was bass and for me ray out went 2 hook 2/0 flapper in close with lug bass = pout..good sized at that,, infact too big to livebait,then more pout all big again, so to stop the pout onsluaght i went to 3/0 pennel and crab in close well that stopped the pout infact that stopped anything  other rod was same rig and bait all night. 2/0 pompey rig and sandeel at distance result = pout  . dogs and at long ast my first east devon ray of the year..in oct ...Had one abroad in wales back in april but this was my target must have weighed all of 1lb but i didnt care ,, that made my trip Si did similar and had big pout and dogs all night no bass were forthcomeing but was a cracking eve out, only just needed windproof 11ish and i still have shed loads of worm to use up   dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives     |

| Re: charmouth ..got one at last Well done that man. That's a nice fish. I try to spend a week's holiday at Chideock each year and fish Charmouth at least one evening during our stay. A very nice area. |
