nicely done plod.
the fish in the photo was caught by my mate that i was teaching because he oly moved down here this summer and has only ever done freshwater fishing, so i thought i would show him the ropes, and then he caught that wrasse, like i said, not bad for a first lesson!!

Plod is on a distinguished road
Re: Torbay wrasse hunt

Went again to the same spot this evening, to use up the remainder of the ragworm. Not such a productive day, but plenty of bites and a few smaller wrasse landed.
I did, however, have an absolute clonking bite, and before I had a chance to properly strike, it was heading for the bottom. I pulled into it, and it took a small amount of line, before I became snagged, and lost my hook length trying to free it.
I'm hoping that it was papa wrasse, as I'm not giving up that easily, and will get down there again soon. That's if Chubb or his mate don't snaffle it up before me!!

Cheers, Darren
