Sat/Sun trips out

Morning all...

Weather is fantastic, would be rude not to drown some worms, looking at heading out for the Early afternoon tide...

Anyone any suggestions for somehwere fishing decent in daylight?? down this way??

I'm a bit fed up of eastney and constant weed gathering, and the tides a a big one so the current will be ripping through as well which means i'll just struggle to keep the rig where i want to put it......

i've tried hayling a few times, limited success, was thinkning i might try a new venue, so suggestions very much welcomed, and if anyone else heading out and about this way would be good to put a face to a name and pick up some tips!!!

Not fished there myself, but have it on good word, and also a couple of hours spent there last night socially....
The stretch just after Clarence Pier by the car park seens quite productive.

Like yourself, I'm starting to feel a bit bored of Eastney, although I'm still 'happily' testing out new spots/markers.

Due to my lack of driving, my range is limited.
Probably only matched by my (ever increasing) knowledge.
But from what I've heard, there are a few other spots around locally.
Sallyport/Hot Walls/Round Tower was always a popular place too.

Not even set foot over there for years, but have heard a few spots just over on Gosport too.

As I say, I am no expert, but happy to share help/info that I have been given even if it is totally untested.

Unfortunately I'm working this weekend.
But that does mean I can hopefully get out today and tomorrow.

hmm i had forgotten about that car park by clarance pier....with the weather like this though i feel that any beach spot is going to be covered in people trying to enjoy the late summer we're having, so wouldnt be ideal for fishing....maybe i'll plan to head out for a night session Friday or Saturday night...high isnt until 2/3AM.........

There is no beach down that way, but could be busy with passing traffic when fished from the top.

But if the joggers are fit, and there is a passing stream of nice scenery it's a bonus!

Another few bits to add to it's list of good points, there's hot food/drink available in the fair, there's the Pub too, also plenty of light (for those late eve/night sessions).

I must stop talking.....
Or I am going to end up down there in a couple of hours myself!

Yeah, some lovely 'scenery' is always a bonus point! and when the sun is out even better!!
You say its been fairy productive down there?? what sort of catch???

Not 100% sure, but was a nice little mixed bag caught while I was there.
Popped down to meet chris.oldgit who was fishing there.
