Chesil Thursday evening

The wind had finally died down and the weather was lovely so just had to have another go for those Bream and Triggers before they headed off for the winter.

After a frantic trip to Weymouth Angling to get some fresh rag was on the beach fishing by 6pm. Rag and squid on 1 rod and mackerel on the other.

Had a couple of small bream, others around me were catching plenty of doggies but no decent bream.

Landed this very nice surprise on rag just as darkness fell, weighed just under 3lb.

My first shore cod - A was a happy chappie I do apologise to any that were on the beach near me last night as I shouted with delight when I realised it was a COD!!

Certainly was mate. Fish and chips for tea washed down with a beer or two! tasted all the better as i knew that i caught it.

Cant beat catching your own fish mate, then you know how fresh it really is. I,m having my Bass tomorrow and quite possibly a beer or two looking at the forecast
