Re: ref rod carriers / holdalls

Chris, a few days ago, I posted a thread asking the same question. The problem I have is keeping the largest rod ring protected during transport. The rods are rung for fixed spool reels and stand off the rod by 4". The members made several helpful suggestions and I've been trying to make up some sort of protective sleeve to go over the large rings. You could also think about a rigid rod tube if keeping items undamaged is a big problem. Incidentally lads and lassies, can someone please tell me what is the significance of the small green square boxes that appear on the right hand side of each post, beneath the originator's name?

Re: ref rod carriers / holdalls

yep know what you mean, might get a piece of soil pipe and seal 1 end to go into a floppy holdall, local plumbing shop does different sizes.

Re: ref rod carriers / holdalls

Ive still got my original mustad rod hold all. I can get 1 rod and a landing net inside, bivey in the outer pocket, then with the straps I also have my 2 13ft rods with multipliers atached, rod rest and spinning rod with reel atached. I dont do things by halves. I also have a hard rod tube that a bought ages ago because I was working in spain for a few months, didnt end up taking my rod with me tho. oh and ive just got a new rovex quad lure pro spinning rod.that came in its own lil hard tube
