Town Quay tomorrow 09.09.2011

going to try town quay tomorrow, never been there before so into the unknown!!! can only go in daytime 08.00 till about 19.00 ish so we shall see?
anyone there please make contact (silver xtrail).
will post report of anything!!!!

its not worth fishing there during the day mate !
Most of the fishing at the minute is for decent sole and bass which both tend to be around after dark .
apart from the odd stray mackerel thes sod all else there - no wrasse , no nothing ..

thanks for that, decided to try Southsea prom just behind the 'sea life place' didnt know what to expect so just took some mackeral and squid. well turns out totally the wrong bait!!! did manage a couple of little what I think were wrasse?
anyway weather was nice, sat all day watching the ships go by.
really need some advice on 'good' spots for daytime on the south coast? I know I know, if we knew that we would all be there .
any help appreciated from a newbie

well I have given it serious thought, but a bit unsure as you get lots of conflicting reports.
guess I shoud bite the bullet and take the trip down the M25/23 and give it a try, nothing ventured??
PS I live in Reading so most trips take about 2 hrs to coast.

If you're in Reading Peter have you not thought about trying the Bristol channel,it can't take too long to get to on the M4.

Milford shingle bank / Hayling ( Inn on the beach ) / South parade pier Pompey / Millenium pier Gosport / Eastney / East OR West beach Selsey to name but a few are all decent daylight fishing marks tho you need to get the tides right ..
this time of year theres mackerel,garfish,pollack,wrasse,bass and bream to be had and when the water is really coloured theres plenty pout,whiting dogs and codling due to show ..
