A week off - a couple of reports

Had a week off work at the end of August to enjoy the last of the summer weather (a good plan as its blowing a hoolie down here in Weymouth today)

Managed to talk the family into a trip to Stone pier for an afternoon's fishing. Wifey and daughter had lots of wrasse and pollack i mainly spent my time baiting up and removing fish for them both.!

had this little Goby on a piece of rag - Not sure what type of goby it is mind you?

Last friday went down to Bexi in search of flatties- armed with fresh rag and frozen lug.

Arrived about 3pm just before the fog rolled in! and set up two rods one at distance and one close in for a dab.

No bites and I lost a few hooks to spider crabs so decided to set up the spinning rod and went after some garfish with a fillet of sandeel. Good fun and past the time until dusk.

As darkness came had my first bite and pulled in this silver eel not much followed so packed up about 10pm.

sods law i hear that a load of sole were caught between 10 and midnight!
