A few sessions

Friday 20th.

Went down to Mount Batten for another go at the eels, only to remember that they had the fireworks there two nights before.
Not a sniff, had a crack with a carp rod for some bits and had a poor cod.

Tuesday 24th.

After hearing about all the sole coming off of Chesil off I went to West Bexington. Hopes were high as I started to get some nice little taps from the off. Only to pull in a half eaten Dragonette

And with the other hook missing, I knew it was going to be one of those nights.
Every bait was being nailed by the spider crabs but as the tide turned they seemed to go - for a while.
Fishing was ok for about an hour with Pout, Bass, Eels and a couple of these which where a first for me.

What a pretty fish the Red Mullet are.
After that the crabs came back with vengeance and after going through a pack of 25 hooks I'd had enough.

Thurs 25th.

Off to Charmouth for the night, arrived to fine the sea was a tad rough with a strong easterly - Nice.
All night it was weed, weed and more weed (before anyone asks its not that kind ok)
although I did save the blank with a couple of Pout.

That's it now until next weekend when I want to go back to Chesil and try for the sole.

Cheers,

Chop
