uuh, too much weed man. met hartley at the white house @ milford , at 8pm. had 2 casts in the first 1/2 hour and got weeded out , hartley lost both rigs gave up and went home . both my casts got weeded up badly too, so retrieved them & left rod up in their rest and went to sleep waiting for the tide to ease. woke at about 10.30 recast and got weeded up again within 10 minutes, had a few more casts but nothing improved just couldn't be arsed to move along the beach a little hopeing for a weed free patch so quit at 11.30 and went home. waste of time from start to finnish, i'm not fishing enough this year and am plain out of touch. __________________ beer so many venues, so little time.

Re: uuh, too much weed man. its a very hit and miss kinda place & i've a love /hate relationship with it, at its worst the weed and strong tides make it unfishable. i'd say that more often than not even when the weed conditions are manageable i'm fighting hard to avoid a blank , and failing ,but sometimes, when the weather and tides are right there's a good selection of fish to be had . a number of times, especially on the bank, when its looking like another blank something special turns up. http://www.seafishingonline.com/copp...he%20beach.JPG __________________ beer so many venues, so little time.

I did say the place was full of weed and that was on an even smaller tide ![]() If you're after smutts from Milford then i can only wish you luck ![]() Its too late for the rays unless you manage a small spotty and you can't fish it on a tide any bigger than small to medium so forget the springs ! fish the flood and you will catch lots of tasty weed - fish the flood on a big tide and all you will catch is the beach 100 yards further up as the tide brings your gear back in __________________ Shore Species 2012: Dab-Flounder-Herring-L.S.Dogfish-Pouting-Shore Rockling-5 Bearded Rockling-Small Eyed Ray-Turbot-Whiting
