Re: rod indication

snap tip lights and tiny clear cable tie .. rod tips have scotch tape on them too for background light ..
I have a very large quantity of top quality tip lights in green if anybody wants some at a good price ..
( unless Lee takes them all )
poundland ones suck as do the ones from Lidls and Aldi

Re: rod indication

Bearing in mind the reputation persons from your homeland have with regard to matters monetary :

I hesitate to enquire as to what constitutes your idea of a "good price"

But just out of interest..............what is a good price?

Re: rod indication

My mate has just bought an alarm, clips to the tip and only goes off when you get a bite, you get a flashing l.e.d and beeping......its a bit annoying to hear it going off when your not catching anything though! Lol
Ive just got some black reflective strips..... Yes BLACK reflective strips! Put it on and used for the 1st time yesterday, absolutely brilliant is all I can say! Looks stylish in normal day light but when the light catches it in the dark it shines very brightly. I was dubious when I saw it but not any more!

It's a myth LittleFish more chance of one of my fellow countrymen buying you a pint than you have from anyone in the Capital!

vicfisher is on a distinguished road
Re: rod indication

I use the battery operated tip lights. The holder is taped to the rod tip with that 'stretchy, self gripping, rubberised insulation type' tape (good stuff it is too). The light then just slides into the holder.

Found a place to supply the small watch batteries and just bought 100 for 11quid. Each light takes two batteries but I find that they do last for about three 8 hour sessions easily.

I have a couple of those kicking about but i find them too bulky - if i ever manage to actually get to your neck of the woods , remind me and you can have them mate
