| He got out ! Had a bash friday night at town quay to meet up with a few lads and take the stepson fishing , target species were sole and of course the bass  , started off very quiet with no pout what so ever showing , and virtually stayed that way untill about 3 am when things picked up , had a few takes early on on mackeral head and guts over low water , but it was fishing very very poor , up untill about 3 am all i had to show was a bath shark for my troubles  but on the plus side owen , (the stepson) caught his first smoothound , only a small one , but he was more than made up ! .................. ]as things went on , i hit into a little surprise of a quite nice sized whiting ..............  then went on to snag a couple of sole , no monsters but sole all the same ...........  then a big comotion was coming from the area of bill and dick , bill had hit into a monster of a smutt  grabbed the drop net , unsure if it was big enough but tried anyway , after a 20 minute battle with the hound it was finally landed , and what a monster it was .......................... well that was it for the night , apart from weighing a fellow anglers bass for him , that dropped the scales to 8lb 1oz , luverly !  .............. Fantastic night in great company , great to meet bill and dick and of course new member mat , cheers lads for a great night  lee. __________________ If Everyday things are getting you down & stressing you out, Think like a Dog, If it cant be Eaten or Humped, Piss on it and walk away..     |
