Town Quay 19th

My kind of venue , can fish out the back of the car whilst having a brewup
Despite the 3 hour drive to get down there (only 2 hours to get home) I enjoyed my night out.

Started of with the dabbling rod straight down the pier as it was a bit crowded, had a Bream first cast and then was getting lots of little rattles but couldn't hook them so changed to smaller hooks (16s ::)) and the rattles were Gobies had 3 commons and a Dragonette, no Pout though.

When the pier cleared a bit I got the Bass rod out and put out a Loop rig baited with rag and had a small Sole , tried the beachcaster with crab for a Smut but no joy although Bigfish had one on Rag.

After Clare had left I put the dabbler back out and had a small Bass straight away


And then a Pout so put it down on one of Lee's rigs hoping for a bigger Bass bot no luck.

It was good to put a few names to faces and meet Clare and Lee, have spoken to my brother and he is planning a trip down there soon so we might meet up again.

I did notice that Clare seemed to be jinxing most of the fishing

Literally Just as you drove off the 'Independence of the seas' turned up .. what a sight that damn ship is !!

Looks like a cracking evenings fishing , always wondered how it fishes, only ever caught the ferry from there .....and didn`t realise that was Town quay till i say the piccies ...
