Trigger Happy

[Chesil Chucker]

Wednesday evening popped out to Chesil in search of some Bream as i'd heard of some good sized fish being caught.

Loaded up with some nice fresh rag from Chesil Bait and Tackle in Wyke.

Started fishing about 6pm and didn't start getting bites until dusk.

My worst cast of the night resulted in this cracking Trigger of just under 2.5lbs - my first ever trigger i was so chuffed!


Bites continued until darkness with another smaller trigger and a good sized Bream.

Sorry couldn't resist another Chesil sunset!


The next night was joined by Portland Pirate aka Sean same place, same bait, same conditions...guess what not a bite!!

Sean did catch this nice Garfish overall a disappointing evening but another species at least!

A great fighting fish, the bigger trigger gave a cracking bite and then started going mental swimming along the beach first one way then the other!..I didn't want to bully it so waited for a wave and beached it! a great feeling. Hope you catch one soon..

i take it the trigger came from the Portland end mate ?
well done on getting one - you know now to leave Sean at home if you want to catch some fish
