.i was sort of looseing interest it it all this week due to financial constraints and a back injury but this week being a weeks hols i aught to give it a shot while i can.
and so dragged hartley down to lepe to dig a few worm to go with the mackerel and squid.
it was a tough dig in the last hour of daylight but we just about got enough then dithered about regarding where to fish, finally settleing on lee on solent and arriveing about 10pm.
set up in the usual place fishing one large rig at distance for whatever, and another flapper in close hopeing for a sole.
i didn't see a bite till what felt like 3am when the sole rig did its job




but that was it the rain started about 0430, gave up at half five but the final wind in produced a thornbacked ray



either that or it was a postage stamp.
