 Hopes Nose 19th march Hey guys me and CHUBB WENT over to hopes nose on saturday in the fog. we couldent see a thing. so any way we didn't catch any thing until it got dark and then it was only a couple of doggies, and chubb had a pout at about 10 ish and that was it really. Still it was nice to get out and actually catch something!!  . One more thing Fighting doggies on bass rods is bloody brilliant.any way laterdays POPLO.. __________________ One day, possibly some day soon ill catch that big Bass, and when i do ill cook it for all but you.     |

| Re: Hopes Nose 19th march Doggies do put up a great fight on light gear. Even on normal gear you think you've got a 4lb+ fish only to discover a 1.5lb doggie when you reel in. 2005 has to be one of the worst years for winter fishing. I've blanked almost everytime I've been out and everyone fishing around me has been the same. | Re: Hopes Nose 19th march it has not been all that bad, when things of interest are scarce, we just do what we (POPLO and me) like doing when there is nothing else around : DOGGIE HUNTING!!! well, its not actually hunting, its more like put a bit of squid in the water and wait a short while. still, i like them, and they will do untill the summer. fighting doggies on light tackle and a bass rod is FUN, FUN, FUN!!! __________________ -Nostalgia ain't what it used to be. -Hard work has a future payoff.
