Red Arrows at Lyme Fished Lyme Regis on Saturday. Target fish was Black Bream and Bass. Clipped onto a buoy about a mile out and baited up some herring feathers with squid and sand eel. Soon caught some small mackerel so out went a free lined live bait as well. Missed a few bites. Only managed to catch loads of mackerel and one dog fish . I have never caught Bream. Does anyone have some tips on baits and rigs. Is it worth ground baiting. Giving it another go tomorrow. Anyway we were treated to an amazing display by the red arrows with definitely the best seats around. ![]() Managed to get three pictures before my camera packed up. ![]() ![]() ![]() Cheers Sam.

Re: Red Arrows at Lyme You should try baited hokkais and small slithers of squid. Bait presentation is the key for bream

Re: Red Arrows at Lyme Bet that was brilliant watching the reds from a kayak! As for bream, try small circle hooks (sakuma circle size 1's are my favs) on a two hook flapper with short snoods. They will take a variety of baits but squid strips and squid heads work best where i usually target them.
