| A few spare hours to kill Had a few hours spare yesterday afternoon and a mate wanted to try for some mackerel, so off we went to babbacombe. On our arrival the pier was chocka (which I can’t say I was disappointed about- I don’t really love the place) so we went off towards Oddicombe and fished off the rocks half way between the two places. I had taken a carp rod and had only planned to target the mini species. I ended up with three of these, which I have been told are corkwing wrasse. ![]() While on the subject of corkwing wrasse is the forum record correct of 1lbs 1oz correct as this stuff’s the British record of 12oz 11drams. Perhaps one of the mods could confirm this. Oh my mate? He never caught a thing, neither did anyone on the pier. | Re: A few spare hours to kill Forum record s based on the members declared weight ,so appears it would have smashed the record....if it was killed and weighed on certified scales __________________ Mike..
