Afternoon all. Headed down hayling about four today to east beach to catch the tide on the up. On arriving there were a couple of others just Packing up. The wind was Pretty gusty and the sea had a bit of chop. Looked a bit weedy but started rigging up anyway. Fella next to us packed up and left us his remaining worm. Poor bugger had driven down from reading for the fish and gave up after an hour because of the weed.... Things didn't bode well..... To cut a long story short after two casts resulting in buckets of weed and reeling in rigless I decided to also cut my losses and head home. Fortunately living local i decided I'd go back early tomorrow morning when the wind is supposed to have died. Fingers crossed!! Did notice a couple others turning up as we left and sitting home now see that the wind is easing so would be interested to know if anyone had any luck today??? Hopefully I will tomorrow. Watch tie space......

Re: Hayling this evening Well, went out sunday AM for a morning session, the wind had dropped to almost nothing, didn't look too weedy so out went the bait, Rag, and landed a small Bream first cast. This got the excitement up anticipating a decent session, but alas, nothing else landed, few rattles but nothing hooked, tried different baits and distances, but nothing. Is there anywhere foshing half decent at the moment around the portsmouth area???

Re: Hayling this evening Unlucky mate, the weed seems to be everywhere at the moment. Why not try one of the harbours? You should get plenty of Bass and the weed should be OK ( Should :-) __________________ One day i will post a catch report again.
