Falmouth Boat Trip

Ok, so im on holiday with my girlfriend+her parents in falmouth (Had a great week) and walking past custom house quay i see signs for "fishing trips, only £10!", so i thought i may as well, just over 2 hours macky bashing with the other tourists souded fun enough.

made our way out to about half a mile ish off swanpool beach and started drifting, using questionable quality tackle. good job we didnt go further out, i reckon the reels had about maybe 150-200 feet of line on them, proper authentic cheap tourist mackerel trip.

Hadnt gone 20 feet down on my first drop down and i got a hit, nice little pollock on my feathers, skipper was well impressed (a ferry skipper, then when the boat isnt ferrying people around, it does fishing trips)

Cue 1 hour 45 minutes of nothing but tiny knocks. Everyone else on the boat got a few mackerel but nothing special, i reckon if we had a proper skipper with a fish finder/depth finder we would have been bouncing, but as it happens, we just got set up on one big 2 hour long, ridiculously fast drift (didnt expect much more tbf)

The entire catch (7 people, 2 hours...notice the ONLY pollock )

And just to show you how good our holiday cottage was...how do you fancy this for a balcony? ( i was tempted to have a dip in but the tackle supplied by the cottage wasnt the best and id been on the boat so id satisfied my craving)
