nice report sounds a good few days fishing
and agree about the scarborough tragedy, a reminder too all about the dangers of rouge waves

Re: Olde Dannys 2 Mornings at Bridlington

Check The News Ben.......

33yr old mother and her 11 year old son where drowned by a freak wave and the 13 year old daughter is still missing.. the rest of the family have been saved..

I think as anglers and myself an X Royal Naval man we all have a respect for the sea and this is just a reminder of how viscious it can be.. I was fishing just down the coast at Bridlington that morning, it was a great morning .. clear sky .. calm waters .. light breeze .. and when i watched the news that night it chilled my bones..

Also it just shows how much more the R.N.L.I. need more and better equipment so next time any of you are at the coast throw a few quid in their box or better still become an inshore member !!!

L CD mate.
Pompey harbour is actually very good fishing now in the summer, its probably got a lot cleaner since a few years ago.
You get a lot of big Bass in there now.
I lived in withernsea untill 2 years ago so it was great to hear you catching fish in my old neck of the woods

Re: Olde Dannys 2 Mornings at Bridlington

Fished Withernsea several weeks ago near the lifeboat house and blanked... well not actualy.... but i've never caught as many small crabs!! When i was talking to one of the lifeboat crew ( also a parking warden ) he told me they where plagued with them and the crab fishermen are complaining because they're stripping the bait from their pots.
Nice to hear Pompey has cleaned up anyway.... but the best RN base to fish is Portland... they've got conger down there that wouldn't come amiss in Lock Ness..

Anyway to save filling this up i think we ought to use normal E-Mail ??
