needed to drown some crabs

well last night tried the seafront with mate shane

the weed was awfull so hit the pub

so still had loads of crabs left( thanks shane)

rude not to use them up
managed to persude kids dad was just popping out for hour( or 2 )

so took shelter from weed tonight by fishing back of docks on incomeing tide

soon had and missed a couple of big bass hits ,2lb carp rod bent right over but neither connected
was useing the mustad ultimate bass hooks and both times the crab had slid down and hook was masked

so switched to usual 3/0 sakuma

lots of rattly bites but nothing big
then when almost too dark to see
a bite
and a good ballan wrasse of 1 1/2 lb

sorry its a terrible pic, never had to photo wrasse in dark before

and unfortunately that was it, went too quiet for 45 mins so pootled home

just checked though and thats first ballan of year so at least 1.5 points

up in london on weekend so no fishing, unless i sneak a sneakier than a sneaky one sun night
