Budliegh fathers day fun

last night I had to get out, as did Baggie and Shane ( and poppy the dog)

decided not to chance Branscombe after the stir up of last few days as weed would probably be an issue, so decided local and good old budliegh

arrived and looked atclouds, also the chocolate water,,,and weed and surf ( surf was not the issue) thoughts were already of pub and looking at that, but lets give it a bash until time to run

shane set up 1 rod with big squid in close

me ever the optomist put out a pop up rig with bling and sandeel for a makkie. other rod 2 hook flapper size 4 scratching rig

baggie sat and socialised

i was getting jipp for the pop up rig until bingo.. makkie on the beach.. then shane gets a doggie

baggie now decided he may as well set up a rod
and i get another makkie. then whilst retreaving scratching rig a little joey takes the hooks... interesting

so for the next 10 minutes out goes the carp rod and feathers and cant believe in this coloured water how well the mackeral are feeding. several full strings later, and baggie has a quick go for a few full strings, stop at 30ish and bagies straight home to vac pac and freeze

meanwhile a rattle on the scratching rod and a tiny plaice



well after that it was a tad quiet with just dogs to shane and rich , and spider crabs nipping hooks like mad

missed the pub but a damn good social eve, bait freezer looks happier and hope to get back out tonight or tues

and will never worry about chocolate coloured water again

Might venture down that way my self later this week, gotta find a cleanish mark to fish as I've hurt my shin and ended up with it infected, possibly ulcerated so need to avoid the mud and crap of the BC if possible.
