Shoreham West Arm

Got to Shoreham west arm 2 hours before high tide to find the wind blowing a gale, decided to give it a go but after a couple of hours the wind really got up and was sending waves over the wall so I was soaked through to say the least,decided to pack up and go to Hayling island to joinup with steve (scottish and mental),Bassmanrob and jaycee and was looking forward to a busy night as the smoothy`s are out in force.
Was set up for 11 o`clock using single hook pulley rigs baited with crab.
At 11:40 I got my first big pull down, struck into what felt like a good fish and was extatic to land another PB this year with a starry smoothound of 9lb 6oz.

Not long after I was on the phone to her indoors when yes you got it, another bite dropping the phone I struck into it only to lose it 10 feet from the beach not amused.

Bassmanrob pulled in two smoothy`s up to 11lb 9oz

Jaycee pulled in two smoothy`s up to 11lb 5oz

Scottish and mental pulled in an astounding 8 smoothy`s consisting of 4 double 12 to 16lb 14oz (well done that man)

The company was superb and it was great to see some guys from the forum

Tomorrow Selsey west beach I wonder whats in store.
