| smoothounds out of our ears well its been while, but work has been so busy iv not had time to fart. cant knock it the over time, it has helped in my project " get a bigger, heavier, diesel boat" but i managed to get out last monday (6/6/11) armed with crab, squid, and rag. only rules we had onthe boat was all fish go back and spinning rods only......lol well i can only say what a trip, with 28 hounds to 17lb it was non stop action. nigels pb of 11lb  nice 15lb for me  the biggest of the night @ 17lb  it was the first time iv ever noticed that common smuts fight a hell of a lot harder than any starry as the 17lb er i had was a very tough fish to land. trip 2 14/6/11 head outagain armed with same baits plus some blueys which proved to be shiiiit again but luckly every think else worked. this trip was a lot quiter and was hard going with the weed, but we stuck it out and had 10 hounds to 12lb and and guest apearance from a few tope up to 7lb+ , so to be a little cocky i thought id try for a bigger one, down went the heavy trace(100lb was the biggest i had) loaded with squid..............oooppps i got smashed to to bits. after a 200yrd+ run it bit me off....lol :- lesson 1 . light spinning rod for tope dont work even with 100lb trace. we also had some bream and dogs. hears the best of the night to bazza @ 12lb  great couple of trips to break me in to the real world again, got to the point i realy hate working on boats at the moment so it was nice to get out on one and have a good time. lets just hope this ever relentless wind will do one and f*** off cheers john __________________ http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...xt80382370.gif     |
