Inn on the Beach, Hayling Well....at least it wasn't a blank! This is my first catch report post, sadly not much to shout about, but spent the day on halying island, near the inn on the beach. Arrived about 11, fished through the incoming tide til an hour past high. No real excitement, but managed a couple of flatties, about the size of my hand (and i only have small hands!) but as i say, at least it wasn't a blank! Don't think it was helped by the increasing presence of screaming kids as the day went on, but hey, what do you expect on nice day like today was! If i knew how to put a pic up i would, but if somone can let me know how, i'll hopefully post something worth the photo! Cheers Mark

Re: Inn on the Beach, Hayling Nice one Mark , i did warn you about not fishing there when the kids are off school ![]() Give it another month and you get some lovely black bream from that section too and good bass when its really choppy with a big surf . All catch reports help, wether they are for 50 fish or no fish - you found a couple of flatties which is no mean feat during daylight with all this weed about plus the screamong kids ,so well done ![]() __________________ Shore Species 2012: Dab-Flounder-Herring-L.S.Dogfish-Pouting-Shore Rockling-5 Bearded Rockling-Small Eyed Ray-Turbot-Whiting

Hello my first ever post on a fishing forum ok went out on the 12th june, took a smoothhound of id say a 2lb on a pulley pennel rig with ragworm and squid, this was 1.5 hours before high tide followed by a bass on the top of the tide to ragworm. F3-4 on shore wind not to choppy. Following week 19th june. Brutal weather....enough to question my own sanity anyway stuck it out force 5 from the west massive surf huge waves rain couldnt get worse really. Took a 1lb bass 2 hour before high to ragworm tipped with muscle, weed was becoming an issue at this point. Took a Plaice very small hand size on the top of the tide. I tried to target smoothies with hardback crabs but to no avail, wondering if the surf was to rough and not enough distance caused by wind drag. or maybe they didnt show. Anyway hope this helps and tight lines everyone.
