Re: ?? Spurn Head/Point Catch Report

Oh mate i would love to.
I lived in Withernsea untill moving south 2 years ago,i dont half miss the lonely windswept place.
I would have thought all the usual hot spots are producing the odd cod, holmpton, tunstall, ringborough, easington at low water, dimlington low water, old hives and spurn rd.
The whiting should have gone now so it may fish better for cod.
We often used to do well at old hall late in the season for coddling .
All the best anyhow.

Re: ?? Spurn Head/Point Catch Report

when the weather allows its fishing reasonably well

cod down spurn road (closed to cars, foot only)
cod at holmpton, out newton and withernsea

still whiting about when seas are flat

old hall coming into its own soon, esspecially the big tides this week

thornbacks and dogfish expected as soon as the weather settles and gets warmer

Re: ?? Spurn Head/Point Catch Report

I would stay away from Spurn Road this week, the tides are massive, and fishing a flood tide there on these tides will be horrendous!

Agree with Paul totally, give the head ago at low water round near the binks or go to old hall which usually fishes on big tides.

Thanks lads,... think i'll give Bridlington. a try... Rather stand on a hard wall than a wind swept beach anyway..
Will let you know the outcome later..................
