| West Bexington 9th & 10th May Thought I'd take a couple of days off and try out me new fishing chair at Bexy. Armed with lug, squid and a few feathers I managed to blank - dont think I was the only one though as, chatting to some others guys, they had nowt despite bagging up a couple of weeks ago. Seems this persistent E/SE wind has add colour to the areas directly within casting distance which I thought might be good for a bass. One local said he was taking mackerel back in March. Was good to get out though... and the chair was very comfy. __________________ 2012: None Lifetime: Codling, Grey Gurnard, Mackerel, Pollock, Pouting, Wrasse, Scad. |

| Re: West Bexington 9th & 10th May We have now hit the May Water season. In a nutshell it kills the fishing for about 4 or 5 weeks till it starts to clear again. The Mackerel are still around, but unless the daylight (and that's the only thing that will work this month) lands on their nose they wont see it. It is still too early for Bass and the SW wind makes distance casting difficult, so the Plaice are out. Still waiting for the Smoothound to come in, as they are scent hunters the May water doesn't put them off. __________________ Check my blog for a daily fishing forecast from Weymouth, Portland, Chesil Beach & Kimmeridge Bay. www.fishingtails.co.uk |
