| Plaice at Hive Went to Hive for a few hours yesterday with the hope of catching a flattie or two. It was a bit last minute, so only had fresh mackerell and prawns from the supermarket as bait. Got there for about 5.00pm and soon had some bait out on a two hook flapper. Nothing bit until about quarter to eight and then I reeled in a small plaice - least I think it was. Then it started to rain and since we had not gone prepared for wet weather session we called it a day. Still - better than nothing. |

| Re: Plaice at Hive Cheers Steve, Yes, it is - I was well chuffed, afraid I was going to draw a blank. I saw another angler just up the beach pull a couple out a little before me, but he had lug worms and I was afraid my mackie might not tempt them. Good start to my angling year though. For me at any rate. __________________ Species 2011; 5 - Mackarel, (do they count?), Whiting, Dog fish, Pouting, Plaice. Hurrah! |
