Southsea Yesterday

Finally managed to persued Maghouse (remember him?) to come out for a fish yesterday.
Well instead of just dragging the yak into the harbour which is full of Bass at the moment or heading up to Bracklesham which is rammed with Bream at the moment i decided to head out to Eastney for some bizare reason
I'm not sure what it is, i think maybe i have to fish it at least once a year just to remind myself how totally arse the mark is.
Anyway i launched off a deserted beach at 1230 and 30 minutes later was out on the magical mussel beds about 1 mile out (ish)
I cast two rods out, one a blinged up Plaice rig(god know why) the other a simple fluro trace with worm.
After about 30 minutes of rocking about on the choppy oggin the simple rig produced a Bass of about 1.5lb.
Rob then rang to say he was on his way out, i upped anchor and paddled in to meet him.
To cut a long story short we moved along the blocks trying to fish but the weed was a nightmare, got back onto the beach about 1700 after catching no more fish and proving to myself, as if it was needed that Eastney is indeed arse.
