Plagued by the dreaded weed, my nipper has had a bite but very little else. Four rods, bluey and mack, squid and mack, worm, worm and squid, crab and mack!!

21:22 - one small pout and missed a big knock, hoping for a bit more action now we are in darkness.

it aught to improve now t'is dark, i'd fish one rod in close with a 2-3 hook flapper & another out at range with a pennel pulley rig or an up n over , sandeel & squid baits should sort out a few doggies, with a chance of a ray.

19.30,web cams show it to be flat calm & could do with a little more movement down there on the water, theres a few on the bank and a couple more anglers at hordle.

if you can stay late enough the golden hour is the very last of the ebb & start of the flood just b4 the weed & tide makes it unfishable.

Thanks for info, just picked up now. One 2lb dog on mackerel but weed major problem. Packed up headed up to Town Quay to use up bait and straight in to two pout. Chap at other end of pier packed up at Hordle and came here and in to a dog.
